When it comes to artists, we often categorise them as painters, poets, sculptors, and whatnot. It is rare to find one that conveys Art through a wide spectrum of forms. This is the case with Johanna Tagada, who explores the potentialities of drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, film, textile and publishing to reach us with an inspiring and gentle message of admiration for the delicacy and poetic traces of Nature and Life. The mastering of colour, contrast and form is plainly visible particularly in her works in paper, where she takes advantage of the distinct shades and textures of different paper sheets to show us how single ordinary elements of life can take so many meanings depending on the lens through which we look at them.
